Tunasima Sirou Illustrations -ROAD- is a really impressive art book that's made even better if you didn't happen to also buy EXTEND Tunasima Sirou Illustrations. If you did, you'll probably be wanting to skip this review because nearly all of the content from EXTEND is in -ROAD-, and that will just make you feel bad.

TURQUOISE 20th Anniversary is a commemorative doujinshi, marking Nadeara Bukichi's two decades in the business along with a glossy new collection of Nadia Secret of Blue Water illustrations. And pretty much every illustration features Nadia in Nadeara Bukichi's signature stick-on panty, so it's quite heavy on the fan service.

If you're watching Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, or not quite finished reading the manga, you might want to skip this post as there are some visual spoilers. For everyone else, it's just another art book! Arakawa Hiromu Illustrations Fullmetal Alchemist 3 is the final art book in her series of Fullmetal Alchemist illustration collections, containing illustrations from 2005 all the way through September 2010.

I'll start this out by saying, I'm really not an Izumi Tsubasu fan. But occasionally, I'll still buy a doujinshi here and there to see if things have changed, or because there's an illustration that appeals to me. Colorful Pop 8 happened to be one of those, and it smells like delicious peppery chips. I'm not even kidding.

Takoyaki is amazingly consistent with releasing beautiful, newly drawn illustrations for every Comiket in recent memory. And Summery Tint is no exception, focusing on lovely girls in a variety of summer activities with the color, tones, and lighting of the season to match it.

The Daigakusei Zukan 2012 Illustrations of Real Campus Girls brings together the annual who's who of universities in Japan with the illustrator variety book that has become so popular over the past couple of years. Though there are works from several famous artists featured in Daigakusei Zukan 2012 there are just as many relative unknowns, and the illustration quality varies greatly.

Ein's second original doujinshi, Long-Cake Pico Pixels 02, was released for Comiket 79 and improves on the Comiket 78 release, Long-Cake Pico Pixels, with more recent works, full-page illustrations and even more pages.

For the most part, I don't normally purchase anime guide books, visual books, or anything with similar words in the title. Those kind of collections tend to have less in the way of art, and more in the way of screen shots, backgrounds, and voice actor interviews. And while it's true, Angel Beats! Official Guide Book has all of those things I mentioned, it also has a ton of promotional art works from series, along with tribute illustrations and works by the original character designer, Na-Ga.

Takehito Harada, best known for his character designs for Disgaea, Phantom Brave, and Makai Kingdom, has a special place in his heart for his character, Pleinair. Pure-iko! is a collection of entirely Pleinair illustrations, that also feature her pals Usagi-san and Same-san.

Hiroyuki Asada Illustrations Water is the second art book released by the artist this year alone, with the first being the March release of Tegami Bachi Illustrations Shine. These two books were obviously planned together, as everything from the index to the hardcover bindings and the printed, textless covers were done in the same way.

Mizusawa Mimori's Coco Colorful ~Winter 2010~ is a small collection of both fan arts and original works that she released for Comiket 79. I tend to skip over Mizusawa Mimori's releases, but this time it had something of interest for me: Panty & Stocking fan arts! ^^;

Macross Frontier Visual Collection Sheryl Nome FINAL is the third in a collection of Macross Frontier art books that feature new illustrations of the series heroines at the impressive price of just ¥1000. While the previous Sheryl Nome book features Sheryl's looks from the TV series, Sheryl Nome FINAL focuses on her styles from the feature films.
